Sales Staff-
Currently seeking a knowledgeable, experienced and sales driven individual to join our sales team. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, strong knowledge of building materials and should be capable of cultivating and closing sales.
Scope of Responsibilities:  Include, but not limited to, visits job sites and interaction with customers; Provides takeoffs/quotes; Writes orders; Handles special orders; Works with dispatcher to schedule deliveries; Prospects new customers; May assist in training and developing of new employees; May make small deliveries; Checks foundations; Helps with budgets; Attends sales meetings; Attends builder functions; Attends seminars when needed; Assists with annual inventory.
General Manager-
The general manager directs and coordinates activities of one or more departments, such as operations and sales, and aids executives in formulating and administering organization policies by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate managers.
Essential Functions:

  1. Participates in formulating and administering company policies, directing and coordinating all divisional department activities to develop and implement long-range goals and objectives to meet business and profitability objectives.
  2. Reviews analyses of activities, costs, operations and forecast data to determine department or division progress toward stated goals and objectives.
  3. Confers with the chief operations officer and other administrative personnel to review achievements and discuss required changes in goals or objectives resulting from current status and conditions.
  4. Develops, reviews, updates and implements business strategic planning, including sales, financial performance and new product development.
  5. Oversees departments to review production and operating reports and resolve operational, and facility problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays and to meet future growth.
  6. Oversees key projects, processes and performance reports, data and analysis.
  7. Reviews and supports sales and in control of pricing for the location.
  8. Reviews operations and plans to meet requirements for sales planning and to ascertain requirements to develop new customers
  9. Reviews and approves preparation of accounting analysis for budgetary planning and implementation, efficiency, financial reporting, budgetary planning and submittal for capital expenditures.

Supervisory Responsibility:
This role manages and directs staff management in sales, operations, and administration. The role is responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of direct reports and for carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
Work Environment:
The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to areas that require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection. Exposure to elements and working in the warehouse or in delivery could be required. For the most part the employee will be exposed to ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment.

Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed or perform heavy lifting or operation of heavy duty equipment. The position may require walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day. The employee may reach above shoulder heights or below the waist or lift as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday. Proper lifting techniques are required.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and long hours.
Occasional local travel is expected with this position with some travel outside that scope for periodic training.
