Sales Staff-
Currently seeking a knowledgeable, experienced and sales driven individual to join our sales team. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, strong knowledge of building materials and should be capable of cultivating and closing sales.
Scope of Responsibilities:  Include, but not limited to, visits job sites and interaction with customers; Provides takeoffs/quotes; Writes orders; Handles special orders; Works with dispatcher to schedule deliveries; Prospects new customers; May assist in training and developing of new employees; May make small deliveries; Checks foundations; Helps with budgets; Attends sales meetings; Attends builder functions; Attends seminars when needed; Assists with annual inventory.
Management Trainee-

A management trainee is an individual who is trained to assume the duties of management. Our management trainee program, sometimes called internships, can last several months, a year, or longer. The Management trainee program has mentors who will help guide you and answer any questions they may have.

In addition, the management trainee will receive an orientation along with classroom instruction, hands-on activities, as well as formal assignments within the company. Some training in specific areas as well as to receive training in all departments so that they may have a better understanding of how the company functions.

The specific duties of a management trainee vary however, the basic skills a management trainee will perform once they become manager are establishing and enforcing policies and procedures, directing and supervising employees, setting the tone for the company culture, and setting the standards for the channels of communication.  Knowledge in operations, sales, administration as well as continuing education, and a solid work performance are the keys to a successful management trainee who wants to become a manager. The successful management trainee can, with hard work and determination, and additional education, advance into upper management.

Education and Training Requirements:

A high school diploma and bachelor’s degree are the minimum requirement for employment as a management trainee.

 

Working Conditions and Environment:

Teamwork, the ability to work independently, and the ability to work under close supervision are required of the management trainee. The management trainee can work in a variety of departments performing various tasks both physical and mental learning the necessary skills to develop into a successful manager and preparation for a long career. Stress is a part of the job as are long and irregular works hours. Working overtime and some weekends could be part of the job. In addition, the ability to travel between locations in support and training due to the number of locations and for additional training and development may be required.
