Born and raised in the town of Goldsboro, Katie knew she had to experience life and see different places and saw college as her opportunity. She attended Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina. Though the college was not a good fit, that is where she found her love and interest in life for interior design. As she looked for other colleges that offered that degree she found there was one closer to home at East Carolina University. At ECU she learned commercial and residential design, color theory and several design software’s.  To complete her degree she had to participate in an internship. Thankfully, Goldsboro Builders offered her an internship in the year of 2017, she continued to work part time with the company through her Graduation from ECU in 2019. Once she received her diploma and said her “I do’s “ to her husband in August, she was hired in September of 2019 in a full time position in the Goldsboro Builders Design Center.

As Katie works in the design center she continues to expand her knowledge in design and construction. She works alongside with new construction builders, remodelers, and homeowners. Everyday there is something new to learn in design whether it is a new product, a new color or a trending design. Katie is eager to learn and always puts her best foot forward.
